It is known that a majority of simple operations on topological spaces do not preserve such significant properties as normality. In particular, one of these operations is multiplication. In this connection, A. V. Arkhangel'skij raised the question as to whether the product topology of two normal spaces includes the topology of a normal space. In other words, does the product of two normal spaces always condense on an arbitrary normal space? It turns out, that this is not the case. We give an example of two normal countably compact spaces \(X\) and \(Y\), the product of which does not condense on a normal space \(Z\).
