On the iterates of some Bernstein-type operators (Q1359631)

The authors establish two basic identities of functional type between the iterates of the Bleimann-Butzer-Hahn operator and those of the Bernstein operator, on the one hand, and the iterates of the modified Meyer-König and Zeller operator and those of the Baskakov operator, on the other. These identities enable them to transfer properties of these operators from one to another. Attention is focussed on the limit behaviour of the iterates and the linear combination of iterates of Fejér-Korovkin type. This paper continues a study begun by \textit{G. Bleimann}, \textit{P. L. Butzer} and \textit{L. Hahn} [Indag. Math. 42, 255-262 (1980; Zbl 0437.41021)].
