    The Schrödinger equation \[ -y''(x)+ V(x)y(x)= Ey(x),\quad 0\leq x<\infty\tag{1} \] is considered. The potential \(V(x)\) has the form \[ V(x)=\begin{cases} W_n(x) & x\in(a_n,b_n),\\ O & x \overline\in (a_n,b_n),\end{cases} \] where \(a_n\to\infty\), \(b_n\to\infty\). If \(L_n= a_n-b_{n-1}\) increases sufficiently rapidly and if some additional conditions are fulfilled then the spectrum of problem (1) is absolutely continuous.
