    The authors consider a reaction-diffusion system, involving the concentrations of the ferroin and acidic nitrate denoted \(u\), \(v\), respectively. This system is: \[ {\partial u\over\partial t}= D_u {\partial^2 u\over\partial x^2}- {2kuv\over\overline\beta+ u},\quad {\partial v\over\partial t}= D_v {\partial^2v\over\partial x^2}+{kuv\over\overline\beta+ u}, \] where \(D_u\), \(D_v\), are diffusion coefficients and \(k\), \(\overline\beta\) are specific constants. The associated initial and boundary conditions are: \(u=u_0\), \(t=0\), \(-\infty<x<\infty\), \[ v=\begin{cases} v_0g(x), &|x|<\ell,\\ 0, &|x|>\ell,\end{cases}\;t=0,\;u\to u_0,\;v\to 0\quad\text{as }|x|\to \infty,\;t\geq 0, \] where \(u_0\) and \(v_0\) are constants and \(g(x)\) is a continuous differentiable function on \(-\ell<x<\ell\), with a maximum value of unity. The behaviour of solutions of the form \(u=u(y)\), \(v=v(y)\), \(y=\sqrt{(k/D_v)}x- ckt\), \(c>0\) (a permanent-form travelling wave) for the large time and \(|y|\to\infty\) is analyzed.
