For an oriented regular submanifold \(F^n \subset E^{n+r}\) its Gauss map \(G\) is defined by the oriented normal subspaces; the image \(G(F^n)\) in the Grassmannian \(G^+ (r,n+r)\) is the Grassmannian image. The problem to find \(F^n\) for a given \(\Gamma= G(F^n)\) has been studied by \textit{Yu. A. Aminov} [Mat. Sb. 117(159), 147-160 (1982; Zbl 0487.53005)] and \textit{D. A. Hoffmann} and \textit{R. Ossermann} [Proc. Lond. Math. Soc. 50, 27-56 (1985; Zbl 0547.53001)] in the cases \(m=2\), \(n\leq 4\). \textit{Yu. A. Aminov} and \textit{T. S. Tarasova} [Ukr. Geom. Sb. 26, 6-13 (1983; Zbl 0532.53004)] showed that a curve \(\Gamma \subset G^+(2,4)\) is the degenerate Grassmannian image of some \(F^2 \subset E^4\) if and only if \(\Gamma\) is an asymptotic line of the hypersurface \(G^+(2,4)\) embedded in the sphere \(S^5\) by Plücker coordinates. This result is now generalized to the \(C^P\)-regular \(F^n \subset E^{n+r} (p<2)\): a \(C^q\)-regular \((q>1)\) curve in \(G^+ (r,n+r) \subset S^{N-1}\), \(N= C^r_{n+r}\), is \(G(F^n)\) for a \(C^{q+1}\)-regular \(F^n\) if and only if \(\Gamma\) is an asymptotic line of \(G^+ (r,n+r)\). It is also proved that then the radius vector of the point of \(F^n\) can be written in some local coordinates as \(r(v^1, \dots, v^n)= r_1+ r_2v^2+ \cdots +r_nv^n\), where the \(r_i\) are vector functions that depend only on \(v^1\) and the tangent \(n\)-plane is stationary along the submanifold \(v^1= \text{const}\).
