A linear programming method for computing exact componentwise bounds on solutions of systems of linear interval equations is described. The theoretical part of the paper does not go beyond the original paper of \textit{W. Oettli} [J. Soc. Industr. Appl. Math., Ser. B.: Numer. Analysis 2, 115-118 (1965; Zbl 0146.13404)]\ on this topic; the contribution consists in the way how computations are organized.
