Let \(\text{Com}_{q,r}\) denote the pseudovariety of all finite semigroups satisfying the identities \(xy=yx\) and \(x^{r+q}=x^r\). An algorithm is described which decides when an identity holds in the semidirect product \(\text{Com}_{q,r}*\text{Com}_{q',r'}\). Finite bases of identities are obtained for these and some other pseudovarieties.
