The paper deals with the study of the transversely orientable, codimension 1 \(C^1\) foliations of a Riemannian 3-manifold \(M\). Using the branched surfaces constructed from foliations on \(M\) closed, the author establishes some sufficient conditions for stability of the foliations that are covered by a product.
