After Harvey and Polking's paper [\textit{R. Harvey} and \textit{J. C. Polking}, Acta Math. 125, No. 1/2, 39-56 (1970; Zbl 0214.10001)] many mathematicians became interested in the problem of removable singularities of CR-functions. Khenkin [\textit{G. M. Khenkin}, Several complex analysis. I. Introduction to complex analysis, Encycl. Math. Sci. 7, 19-116 (1990); translation from Itogi Nauki Tekh., Ser. Sovrem. Probl. Mat., Fundam. Napravleniya 7, 23-124 (1985; Zbl 0781.32007)] and Stout [\textit{E. L. Stout}, Several complex variables, Proc. Mittag-Leffler Inst., Stockholm/Swed. 1987-88, Math. Notes 38, 600-629 (1993; Zbl 0772.32011)] each did a survey of such results. In this note the author deals with locally integrable \(L^1_{\text{loc}}\) functions \(f\) defined on a CR-submanifold \(M\) of the complex Euclidean space \(\mathbb{C}^n, n>1,\) that are CR-functions outside of some closed subset \(S\subset M.\) Under some supplementary conditions on \(S\) and \(M,\) it is proved that such functions \(f\) are in fact CR-functions on all \(M.\) Thus, the purpose is to prove that \(L^1_{\text{loc}}(M)\cap CR(M\setminus S)\subset CR(M).\) In this sense, this result is an analog of the classical Riemann theorem on removing the bounded singularities of holomorphic functions.
