Let \(f\in L_2([-\pi,\pi]^m)\), \(c_n(f)\) be its Fourier coefficients \[ c_n(f)= (2\pi)^{-m} \int_{[-\pi,\pi]^m} f(t)e^{-i(nt)}dt,\quad n\in\mathbb{Z}^m. \] The relation \[ \int_{[-\pi,\pi]^m}|f|^2= (2\pi)^m \sum_{n\in\mathbb{Z}^m} |c_n(f)|^2 \] is usually called Parseval's equality. In this work, some nonstandard generalizations of (1) are obtained and a number of their applications to problems of approximation of periodic functions are pointed out.
