For a function, which is finite on \(\mathbb{R}^n\), the exponential ray transformation is defined by the equality \[ I^\varepsilon f(x,\xi)= \int^\infty_{-\infty} f(x+t\xi) \exp \left[-\int^\infty_t \varepsilon (x+s \xi)ds \right] dt, \] \[ x,\xi \in\mathbb{R}^n, \quad |\xi |=1. \] For a mathematical model to be adequate for a physical situation (e.g., in tomography), the integration should be carried out along the ray of the physical radiation. The problem arises due to the fact that in practically significant cases the rays are geodesics of some Riemann metric. In this note, the author states results which significantly improve previous results (in particular the assumption on the smallness of absorption \(\varepsilon)\), including his own.
