If \({\mathfrak g}\) is a generalized Kac-Moody algebra (GKM) in the sense of Borcherds, the author introduces a cone \(\widehat{V}\) in the direct product \(\widehat{L} (\Lambda_1)\times\dots\times \widehat{L} (\Lambda_m)\) for formal completions of highest weight modules with regular dominant integral highest weights. The quotient \(X= \widehat{V}/(\mathbb{C}^\times)^m\) is called the flag manifold of \({\mathfrak g}\) (it is a flag manifold in the usual sense when \(\dim({\mathfrak g})<\infty)\). It is shown that \(X\) decomposes into the disjoint union of affine spaces parametrized by the Weyl group \(W\) of \({\mathfrak g}\), and the closure relations between the affine spaces are described by the Bruhat ordering on \(W\). Moreover, the author constructs a line bundle on \(X\) corresponding to each integral weight and determines its space of algebraic global sections. This leads to an analogue of the Borel-Weil theorem for \({\mathfrak g}\).
