As the title indicates, the author studies projective planes of order \(q^3\) which can be represented on cones in \(\text{PG}(6,q)\). The planes turn out to be translation planes or dual translation planes. There are two kinds of representations. To give the flavor of the representation: On one case, the ``points'' are of three kinds: (1) The vertex plane, (2) Certain ``special'' lines, (3) The points not lying on a certain projective 4-space. The ``lines'' of the representation are also of three kinds: (1) Certain projective subspaces of dimension 4, (2) Certain projective 3-spaces, (3) Another class of projective 3-spaces which are secant to the cone.
