Convolution of two specialized Gaussian hypergeometric functions yields another specialized Gaussian hypergeometric function as shown below \[ {}_2F_1(1,1;a;z)* {}_2F_1(a,1;1;z)= \frac{1}{1-z}= {}_2F_1(1,1;1;z), \] where \(*\) stands for the Hadamard product or convolution of two power series. Two power series \(f\) and \(g\) are said to be convolution inverses of each other whenever the convolution \(f*g\) gives rise to the identity power series \(1/(1-z)\). A function \(f(z)\) is said to be close-to-convex of order \(\alpha\); \(\alpha>0\) in \(U\), denoted \(C(\alpha)\), if and only if there exists a function \(g\) in \(S^*(0)\) such that \[ \biggl| \arg\frac{zf'(z)}{g(z)} \Biggr|< \frac{\alpha\pi}{2}, \qquad z\in U. \] A location of zeros of partial sums of close-to-convex hypergeometric series is investigated, leading to two theorems.
