A robust adaptive stabilization for a class of nominally controllable first-order hybrid time-invariant linear systems is presented. The paper is an extension of the paper by \textit{R. Lozano}, \textit{A. Osorio} and \textit{J. Torres} [IEEE Trans. Autom. Control AC-39, 1748-1751 (1994)], in two aspects. In the first, purely continuous systems are extended to hybrid systems. In the second, unmodelled dynamics are considered and hence the robust adaptive stabilization has to be studied. The filtered control consists of two parts, \(u_{f1}\) and \(u_{f2}\). The objective of \(u_{f1}\) is pole assignment while that of \(u_{f2}\) is the compensation of the influence of discrete dynamics. As for robust stabilization, covariance resetting together with dead zone are employed. The modification of estimation by hysteresis switching in order to maintain the controllability of the estimated model is common with the paper.
