The strength model for triaxial woven materials proposed in part I is applied to study an infinite plate made of triaxial woven material and containing either an elliptic hole or a crack. For the elliptic hole problem, the remote critical loading as a function of geometric parameters is analysed and for the crack problem, the cracking orientation is examined. Finally, we verify the elasticity and strength models proposed in part I by using the micromechanical analysis.
