The authors investigate anisotropic properties and mechanical behavior of superplastic materials (a class of metals with extraordinary tensile ductility) under various loading conditions. The modelling is based on the continuum theory of viscoplasticity with overstress function, yield surface and internal variables. To verify the presented approach, the authors discuss some experiments on superelastic alloys including tension, jump test, stress relaxation, and fixed end torsion.
