    The author considers spectral Galerkin approximations for solving semilinear problems of the form \(Au+G(u)= f\), where \(A\) is a linear and \(G\) is a nonlinear operator in a Hilbert space. The trial functions are chosen to be eigenfunctions of \(A\). For problem data known only within a certain error, it is studied when the approximation provides accuracy uniformly with respect to small perturbations of the data. Whereas stability with respect to perturbations of the right-hand side or initial data is well analyzed in the literature, in the present paper the stability with respect to perturbations of the operators is dealt with. For certain classes of semilinear problems, an additional compactness assumption is shown to be sufficient to achieve accurate approximations to the exact solution by means of the spectral Galerkin method.
