Among numerical methods usually used in analysing foundation plates, the boundary element method consists in the integration and summation of products of displacements described by various fundamental solutions. The problem of thick foundation plates can be also solved with such a technique. In particular, the authors obtain the fundamental solution for the Reissner plates resting on the two-parameter Pasternak foundation. The problem is subdivided into three cases according to the value of a dimensionless parameters \(\kappa\) \((\kappa>1\), \(\kappa =1\), \(\kappa <1)\) which is in turn determined by the Pasternak parameters \(K_f\) and \(G_f\). The case \(k=1\) was already considered previously, while all the three cases are discussed together first in this paper. Both the fundamental solution kernels and the corresponding traction kernels on the boundary are presented explicitly. Thus the problem for an arbitrary thick foundation plate may be solved by boundary element method completely.
