Positively curved 4-manifolds and the nonnegativity of isotropic curvatures (Q1371315)

The author studies some questions concerning the topology of compact connected oriented 4-manifolds \(M\) that admit a metric of positive sectional curvature. Various results are proved, starting from certain assumptions on the isotropic curvature in each point of \(M\) (this concept was defined by \textit{M. J. Micallef} and \textit{J. D. Moore} [Ann. Math., II. Ser. 127, 199-227 (1988; Zbl 0661.53027)] and/or on the Laplacian of the Weyl tensor \(W\) of \(M\).
