The authors generalize here strong laws of large numbers to von Neumann algebras. Similar studies were earlier done by \textit{C. J. K. Batty} [Z. Wahrscheinlichkeitstheorie Verw. Geb. 48, 177-191 (1979; Zbl 0388.60034)], \textit{R. Jajte} [``Strong limit theorems in non-commutative probability'' (1985; Zbl 0554.46033)] and \textit{A. Łuczak} [Stud. Math. 81, 231-243 (1985; Zbl 0549.46035)]. They study the bilateral almost uniform convergence and convergence in measure of weighted averages and quadratic forms in martingale differences in von Neumann algebras.
