A solvable model for a periodic array of quantum dots in a uniform magnetic field taking into account charge carrier tunnelling between the dots is considered. The model has earlier been studied by the authors on the physical level in \textit{V. A. Geyler} and \textit{I. Yu. Popov} [Z. Phys. B 93, 437 (1994); Z. Phys. B 98, 473 (1995)]. The model is built using the version of the extension theory that is known as ``zero-range potentials with internal structure'' [\textit{B. S. Pavlov}, Theor. Math. Phys. 59, 544 (1984); Russ. Math. Surv. 42, No. 6, 127-168 (1987; Zbl 0665.47004)]. The main rigorous result is that there exist eigenvalues imbedded in the continuous spectrum of the Hamiltonian for appropriate values of the model parameters. The continuous spectrum of the model can be both singular and absolutely continuous.
