Let \(X\) denote a super-Brownian motion on \(d\)-dimensional hyperbolic space \(H^d\). The subject of this note is the probability \(p(x,\varepsilon)\) that \(X\), when started at \(\delta_x\), ever charges a geodesic ball of radius \(\varepsilon\) around a reference point \(x^0\). In the first result, \(p(x,\varepsilon)\) is expressed through the solution \(u(x,\varepsilon)\) of a certain quasi-linear Dirichlet problem on \(H^d\). Together with an asymptotic result for \(u(x,\varepsilon)\) as \(x\to\infty\) this shows that, for \(d\geq2\), the hitting probability \(p(x,\varepsilon)\) decays exponentially in the Riemannian distance from \(x\) to \(x^0\) with rate \(d-1\). This behavior is different from the one found for the Euclidean situation by \textit{I. Iscoe} [Ann. Probab. 16, No. 1, 200-221 (1988; Zbl 0635.60094)].
