    For a fixed \(m\in\mathbb{N}\) and a sequence \(x=(x_k)\) denote \[ \Delta^mx: =\left( \sum^m_{v=1} (-1)^vx_{k+v} \right)_{k\in \mathbb{N}}. \] The authors consider the sequence spaces \(G (\Delta^m): =\{x=(x_k) \mid\Delta^m x\in G\}\) with \(G=l_\infty\) or \(G=c\), the space of all bounded and convergent sequences, respectively. They first characterize the \(\beta\)- and \(\gamma\)-duals of these spaces and prove that \[ \bigl(l_\infty (\Delta^m) \bigr)^\beta= \bigl(c (\Delta^m) \bigr)^\beta= \left\{a= ( a_k) \left|\sum_k k^ma_k \text{ is convergent and } \sum_k k^{m-1} |R_k |< \infty\right.\right\} \] and \[ \begin{multlined} \bigl(l_\infty (\Delta^m) \bigl)^\gamma = \bigl(c (\Delta^m) \bigr)^\gamma= \left\{a =(a_k) \left|\sup_n \left|\sum^n_{k=1} k^ma_k \right|\right.< \infty \quad \text{and} \quad \sum_kk^{m-1} |R_k |< \infty \right\},\\ \text{where} \quad R_k: =\sum^\infty_{v=k+1} a_v. \end{multlined} \] The authors secondly characterize the classes of matrix transformations \(A:G(\Delta^m) \to l_\infty\) with \(G= l_\infty\) and \(G=c\).
