The author examines a three-dimensional displacement-temperature initial-boundary value problem of linear homogeneous isotropic coupled dynamic thermoelasticity with homogeneous displacement-temperature boundary conditions. The author shows that if the initial data are suitably restricted, then a measure of the solution \(({\mathbf u},\theta)\), \(({\mathbf u}\) is the displacement, \(\theta\) is the temperature difference) is bounded from above by an exponentially decaying function of time (Theorem 2.1). The reviewer notes that the energy norm of the solution in Theorem 2.1 makes sense only if \({\mathbf u}\) and \(\theta\) are dimensionless. Since the material constants in equations (1.1)--(1.2) are not defined, and the density is assumed to be unity, the reader does not know whether the problem is formulated in a dimensionless form. This slip could be avoided by introducing a dimensionless formulation of the problem.
