    The author studies the properties of generalized Riesz-potential-type integral operators with the kernel depending on the distance function \[ L_\rho f(x)= \int_{\mathbb{R}^n} f(y)K \bigl(\rho (x,y)\bigr) dy,\;x\in\mathbb{R}^n, \tag{1} \] under the following assumptions: \((\rho_1)\) \(\rho\) is continuous from \(\mathbb{R}^{2n}\) to \(\mathbb{R}\) and there exist \(C_1\), \(C_2\) in \(\mathbb{R}\) such that for all \(x,y\) in \(\mathbb{R}^n\), we have \(C_1| x-y| \leq\rho(x,y) \leq C_2| x-y |\), \((\rho_2)\) \(\rho(x,y) \leq\rho (x,z)+ \rho(z,y)\) for all \(x,y,z\) in \(\mathbb{R}^n\), \((K_1)\) there exist \(B_1>0\), \(\sigma>0\) such that for all \(R>0\) we have \[ \int^R_0 K(t)t^{n-1} dt\leq B_1 R^\sigma, \] \((K_2)\) \(K\geq 0\) is decreasing on \((0,+\infty)\) and \(\lim_{t\to 0} K(t)=+\infty\), \((K_3)\) there exist \(B_2>0\), \(\gamma(p)= \gamma (p,n)>0\), \(1\leq p< +\infty\) such that for all \(R>0\) we have \[ \left(\int^{+\infty}_R K^{p'} (t)t^{n-1} dt\right)^{1 \over p'} \leq B_2R^{-\gamma (p)}, \quad {1\over p} +{1\over p'} =1. \] If one denotes \(\ell= (1+{\sigma \over\gamma (p)})p\), consider \(r>0\) such that \(1<p<r\) and put \[ {1\over q} ={1\over p} \left[{r-p \over r-1} {\gamma (1) \over\sigma +\gamma(1)} +{p-1 \over r-1} {\gamma(r) \over\sigma+ \gamma(r)} \right] \] and take \(f\in L_p(\mathbb{R}^n)\), then the integral (1) converges absolutely for almost every \(x\), the operator \(L_\rho\) is of type \((p,\ell)\) and of type \((p,q)\), that is for all \(\lambda>0\) we have \[ \text{mes} \biggl\{x\in \mathbb{R}^n; \bigl| L_\rho f(x)\bigr| >\lambda\biggr\} \leq\left( {A\| f\|_p \over\lambda} \right)^\ell \] and \[ \| L_\rho f\|_q\leq A\| f\|_p, \quad f\in L_p (\mathbb{R}^n), \] where \(A\) does not depend on \(f\) or \(\lambda\), and \(\text{mes} E\) is the Lebesgue measure in \(\mathbb{R}^n\).
