The stationary one-dimensional Schrödinger equation with various potentials is considered. The equation is transformed into a Riccati equation. The nonstandard analysis, the theory of canards [\textit{E. Benoit}, \textit{J. L. Callot}, \textit{Fr. Diener} and \textit{M. Diener}, Collect. Math. 32, 37-119 (1981; Zbl 0529.34046)], and a change of variables are used to compute the first eigenvalue and the corresponding solution, and an asymptotic expansion of the \(n\)th level in powers of the parameter \(\hbar\). An algorithm is proposed. The expansion is not a series of powers but it looks like a fraction. Its structure allows to understand the role of turning points. As an example the asymptotic behaviour of the Hermite equation at infinity is given.
