The author deals with the convection-diffusion equation in the case of unbounded random coefficients. The flow has a stationary and square integrable stream matrix. Suitable approximate correctors are obtained by means of a saddle-point variational principle on the probability space of stream matrices. Homogenization theorems are established for weak solutions of the convection-diffusion equation with general stream matrices. The results are proved by Tartar's energy method with the use of approximate correctors.
