The author introduces a notion of nuclearity for \(C(X)\)-\(C^\ast\)-algebras which contains the original definition by \textit{G. Skandalis} [\(K\)-Theory 1, No. 6, 549-573 (1988; Zbl 0653.46065)] as a special case (\(X\) a one-point space). It turns out that the properties of semi-exactness of the corresponding \(KK\)-functor \(RKK(X;-,-)\) likewise hold in this category of \(C^\ast\)-algebras.
