In the paper embedding relations are proved between the following classes of continuous functions \[ \begin{aligned} H^\omega &:=\{f:\omega(f;\delta)=O(\omega(\delta))\}, \\ S_\Omega(\lambda,\mu) &:=\left\{f:\left\| \sum^\infty_{n=0} \lambda_n\Omega(\mu_n| s_n-f|)\right\|< \infty\right\}, \\ V_\Omega(\lambda,\mu) &:=\left\{f:\left\| \sum^\infty_{n=1} \lambda_n \Omega(\mu_n| \tau_n-f|)\right\| <\infty\right\},\\ V_\Omega^{(s)} (\lambda,\mu) &:=\left\{ f:\left\| \sum^\infty_{n=1} \lambda_n \Omega\left(\frac{\mu_n}n\sum^{2n}_{k=n+1} | s_n-f|\right) \right\|< \infty\right\}, \end{aligned} \] where \(\Omega\) is convex or concave. Earlier embedding results were proved only for the power function \(\Omega\). For Part II and Part III see the following reviews.
