The present paper deals with the connection between moment conditions, rate of convergence in the strong law of large numbers, and convergence of the underlying sequence with respect to certain summability methods. The sequences under consideration are supposed to be stationary and \(\varphi\)-mixing (means the same as uniformly mixing). Main results are some statements of equivalence which generalize and unify the hitherto known results on the subject. In particular, the above mentioned moment conditions enclose all polynomial moment conditions of degree larger than 1. Four kinds of summability methods are treated: the power series, generalized Nörlund, and generalized Valiron methods, and the summability by moving average.
