The author studies the quasivariational inequality: find \(y\in K(y)\) and \(F\in{\mathcal F}(y)\) such that \[ \langle F,x- y\rangle+ \varphi(x)- \varphi(y)\geq 0,\quad\forall x\in K(y), \] where \(K(y)= \{x\in X(y): g(y, x)\in C\}\), \(X:\Xi\to 2^{\Xi}\) is a point-to-set map, \(g: X(y)\times X(y)\to \mathbb{R}^m\); \(C\subset\mathbb{R}^m\) is a closed convex cone, and \(\Xi\) is a Hilbert space. Using the fact that the domain \(K(y)\) is given as the intersection of level sets, the author connects the initial variational inequality with the separation scheme and develops several related topics, as penalization, gap function, duality.
