On holomorphic factorization and meromorphic selectors (Q1383263)

The author considers the connection between Lorentzian matrices and Levi-flat surfaces. He proves that a smooth Lorentzian \(2\times 2\)-matrix-valued function, defined on the unit circle and possessing a so-called exterior meromorphic section, can be extended into the unit disk in a way that admits a nondegenerate holomorphic factorization \(P^*P\), where the adjoint is taken with respect to the constant Lorentz matrix.
