    The authors, in this paper, prove the following theorem. If \(X_1,Y_1, \dots, X_n\), \(Y_n\), \(U,V\) are indeterminates over the real field \(\mathbb{R}\) and if \[ B:=\mathbb{R} [X_1,Y_1, \dots, X_{n-1}, Y_{n-1},U,V, 1/(\sum X^2_k Y^2_k+(U^2+1)^2(V^2+1)^2)] \] and if \(n\geq 3\) the projective \(B\)-module associated to the unimodular row \((X_1, \dots, X_{n-1}, U^2+1)\) is not free. This is an improvement of a result by \textit{F. Röver} [Commun. Algebra 22, No. 3, 799-803 (1994; Zbl 0857.13007)] and that by \textit{M. Ojanguren} and \textit{R. Parimala} [Math. Ann. 287, No. 1, 181-184 (1990; Zbl 0696.13007)].
