A t-norm (short for triangular norm) is a symmetric associative function \(T:\:[0,1]^{2}\rightarrow[0,1]\), nondecreasing in each variable and such that \(T(x,1)=x\) for all \(x\in[0,1]\). The author defines a t-norm to be quasihomogeneous if there exists a map \(\varphi:\:[0,1]\rightarrow[0,1]\) and a continuous injection \(\Pi:\:[0,1]\rightarrow[0,\infty[\) such that \(\Pi[T(tx,ty)] = \varphi(t)\Pi[T(x,y)]\), and offers as main result that then either \(T(x,y)=\min(x,y)\) for all \((x,y)\in[0,1]^{2}\) or \(T(x,y)=xy\) for all \((x,y)\in [0,1]^{2}\), or \(T(x,y)=(x^{b}+y^{b}-1)^{1/b}\) for \((x,y)\in]0,1]^{2}\) and \(T(x,y)=0\) if \(x=0\) or \(y=0\). [The appearance of \(t\) as variable shows how silly it is here and in many other papers to set the ``t'' in ``t-norm'' in italic as ``\(t\)-norm''].
