Elastic large deflection analysis of stiffened annular sector plates (Q1384340)

We outline the governing equations of a discretely stiffened plate theory suitable for the non-axisymmetric elastic large deflection analysis of radially stiffened annular sector plates. A brief description of the dynamic relaxation finite difference procedure for the solution of these equations is presented. The dynamic relaxation analysis results for clamped stiffened annular sector plates subjected to uniform transverse pressure are compared with finite element solutions, and it is established that the dynamic relaxation and finite element results are generally in close agreement.
