The article under review is devoted to a new and challenging problem of modern science: race models for reaction time! A new class of race models, able to predict how the mean reaction time (RT) might be changed when a brief SOA (stimulus onset asynchrony), is introduced, presented and discussed in some detail. The studies of Hershenson, Miller, Neely, Vorberg are also mentioned. However, the first who provided a mathematical analysis of race models was Heath, in 1984. Other sections in the study deal with: the comparison with the race model inequality; capacity allocation; mean RT as a function of SOA.
