Let \(R\) be a fixed complete discrete valuation domain and let \(A\) be a reduced torsion-free algebraically compact \(R\)-module with a smoothly descending chain of summands \(A[\alpha]\) indexed by ordinals with \(A[0] = A\). The category \(\mathcal A\) consists of all such objects and morphisms in \(\mathcal A\) are \(R\)-module homomorphisms preserving the distinguished chains of submodules. A module \(T\) is said to be an \(\mathcal A\)-Warfield module if it is a nice extension of some \(A\in\mathcal A\) with \(T/A\) totally projective. Among other results it is shown that if \(T_1\), \(T_2\) are reduced \(\mathcal A\)-Warfield modules, then any ring isomorphism of their endomorphism rings is induced by a module isomorphism \(f:T_1\to T_2\).
