In the class \(\mathcal F\) of Fourier transforms of infinitely differentiable functions on the real line with compact support the problem of factorization is considered. It is proved that if each zero of \(F\in \mathcal F\) lies in the union of a horizontal strip with a finite number \(m\) of semistrips, then such a factorization \(F=F_1\cdot F_2\), \(F_i\in \mathcal F\), \(i=1,2\), holds with \[ \frac {C_1}{|z|}\leq \left|\frac{F_1(z)}{F_2(z)}\right|\leq C_2 |z|^{1+m} \] for some \(C_1 >0\), \(C_2>0\) and any \(z\in \mathbb C\). In addition, for the functions from \(\mathcal F\) the question of the distribution of zeros is considered.
