For integral operators \(A\) of the form \[ (Au)(\xi) ={\beta^{1-\alpha} \over \Gamma (\alpha)} \int^\xi_0 (\xi^\beta -\eta^\beta)^{\alpha-1} \eta^{\beta-1} u(\eta) d\eta, \] with \(\xi\in [0,a]\), \(0<\alpha <1\), \(0<\beta\), \(0<a <\infty\), or of the analogous form with integration limits \(\xi\) and \(a\) are derived for \(A\) acting from \(L^p ([0,a], \xi^{\beta-1} d\xi)\) or \(C[0,a]\) into itself. These estimates are then used to analyze for the first kind integral equation \(Au =f\) some regularization schemes, namely the iterated method of Lavrentiev, the Richardson iteration, and an implicit iteration method. As a stopping rule for iterative methods a discrepancy principle is proposed. Finally, results of a numerical case study are presented.
