    The existence of a cosymmetry of a vector field on a manifold may be a natural cause for the existence of a continuous family of equilibria. Generally, such a family is not an orbit of the symmetry group of the corresponding dynamic system, since, in contrast with orbit equilibria, the points of the family have their own individuality in that each of them possesses its own stability spectrum. In this paper, we give a general definition of cosymmetry. In particular, a cosymmetry of a section of a vector bundle over the manifold is a section of the adjoint bundle which annihilates the former section at each point of the manifold. A cosymmetric version of the implicit function theorem, gives sufficient conditions for the existence of a local submanifold of solutions in the vicinity of a known solution of an operator equation with many cosymmetries. Under certain nondegeneracy conditions, a smooth continuation of local and global submanifolds of solutions with respect to a parameter is possible. In this case, the bifurcation of global submanifolds of solutions is local, that is, begins at some point of the submanifold.
