First, the author establishes the following two results of potential theory: ``If \(U\) is a harmonic function in \(D^+_r=\{x=(x_1, x_2, x_3)\in \mathbb{R}^3\mid x_1>r\}\) and satisfies the conditions \[ U(x)=O\biggl( {1\over{\| x\| ^{\alpha}}}\biggr),\quad {{\partial U}\over{\partial x_1}}(x)=O\biggl( {1\over{\| x\| ^{1+\beta}}}\biggr),\quad x_2^2+x_3^2\rightarrow\infty\;(x_1>r),\tag{1} \] then, the function \[ K[U](u, v, t)\equiv\phi (u, v, t)=-{1\over 2}\displaystyle\int _{-\infty}^{+\infty}U'_{x_1}(u, v\cos t-\eta\sin t, v\sin t+\eta\cos t)d\eta , \] (where \(t\in [0, 2\pi ])\) is harmonic in the half-plane \(B^+_r=\{ w=u+iv\in{\mathbb C}| u>r\} \forall t\in [0, 2\pi ]\).'' (Theorem 1) ``If \(U\) is harmonic in \(D^+_r\) and satisfies (1), then, in \(D^+_r, U(x)={1\over {2\pi}} \int _0^{2\pi} K[U](x_1, x_2\cos t+x_3\sin t, t)dt\).'' (Theorem 2). In the last part the author indicates, by means of \(K[U]\) and the inverse Laplace transformation, a method of describing a stationary filtration flow problem in a four-component piecewise-homogeneous medium, where the interface of the boundaries has the form of three parallel planes.
