    The authors consider a Riemannian manifold \(M\) with the Riemannian volume \(\mu\) which is a globally \((\Omega,\sim)\)-like manifold where \((\Omega,\sim)\) is a connected countable graph. Denote by \(J(u;t,A)={1\over 2}\int_A[| {\partial u(t,x)\over\partial t}| ^2+| \nabla u(t,x)| ^2]\mu(dx),\quad A\subset M\), the energy functional and consider the set \(u_n\in C^\infty(\mathbb{R}\times M;\mathbb{R})\) solving the wave equation \[ {\partial^2 u_n(t,x)\over\partial t^2}=\Delta u_n(t,x),\quad (t,x)\in \mathbb{R}\times M,\quad n=1,2,\dots \] and such that \[ \lim_{n\to\infty}2^{-\varepsilon n}log[1+\| u_n(0)\|_{L^2}]=0,\quad J(u_n;0,M)=0,\quad J\bigl({\partial u_n\over\partial t},0,M\bigr)\leq C\cdot 2^{-2n}\tag{1} \] for some \(C>0 ,\varepsilon>0\). Assuming that the local Harnack inequality holds, the authors prove that \[ \lim_{n\to \infty}2^{-n}\sup\{I(t,\varepsilon,u_n);\;t\in [0,2^{a n}]\}=0,\quad \forall \varepsilon >0 \text{ and }a\in (1,2), \] where \(I(t;\varepsilon,u)=\inf\{r>0: J(u,t A(r))<\varepsilon \cdot J(u;0,M)\},\) \(A(r)=\{x\in M: \text{dist}(x,A_0)>r\}, r>0\) and \(A_0= (\text{supp } u(0,\cdot))\cup (\text{supp } {\partial u(0,\cdot)\over\partial t})\). In other words, they prove that the average speed of effective energy propagation of the waves that satisfy long wave length condition (1) on \(M\) is asymptotically zero.
