For solving the Helmholtz problem a parallel iterative algorithm based on a rational iteration and a nonoverlapping domain decomposition method are proposed. Artificial damping and relaxation parameters are introduced to accelerate the convergence speed. The convergence of the iterative processes is analysed. Strategies for finding the damping and relaxation parameters are described. The efficiency of the proposed method is demonstrated by numerical examples carried out on an nCUBE2 parallel computer.
