Conjectured \(\mathbb{Z}_2\)-orbifold constructions of self-dual conformal field theories at central charge 24 -- the neighborhood graph (Q1392684)

The classification of the self-dual conformal field theories at central charge 24 is relevant to the classification of 10-dimensional heterotic strings. Under certain conditions, there are 71 possible theories among which only 43 of them have been explicitly constructed. In this article, the author proposes orbifold constructions for all but one of the remaining theories by using his earlier results [ Nucl. Phys. B 428, 233-258 (1994; Zbl 0924.17013)] and exploring the modular transformation properties of the graded characters of automorphisms of orders two and three to obtain information regarding the Lie algebraic content of any proposed orbifold model.
