A Gaussian average property of Banach spaces (Q1392969)

This paper introduces a property called (GAP) the Gaussian average property for Banach spaces. The basic properties of GAP are studied. It is shown that a large class of Banach spaces have GAP. It is also shown that GAP can be used to replace the Gordon-Lewis property in most settings, while GAP enjoys the stronger property that it passes to subspaces. Applications are given to extending 1-summing operators from subspaces of a Banach space.
