Input modeling in time-delayed systems (Q1395091)

An essentially heuristic approach is proposed for the design of a controller of a plant responding with an appreciable but not a dominating delay (in the sense described by Minorsky). The usefulness and the practical efficiency of that approach can be judged fairly at present only by a practitioner of the corresponding engineering speciality. Although no mathematically fundamental aspects seem to be challenged, the formal justification has an undeniable appeal (to a theoretically inclined engineer).
