    The author proposes parallel versions of the alternating triangular conjugate-gradient method for solving elliptic equations in a rectangular domain by the finite difference method on distributed-memory parallel computers. They are constructed by using a special scheme to order the unknowns. The efficiency of the proposed methods is examined by computing some model problems with a moderate number of processors.
