This paper deals with the following problem: \[ -\Delta_gu+ \frac{n-2}{4(n-1)} R_gu=0,\;u>0\quad\text{in }\mathring M, \qquad \frac{\partial u}{\partial\nu}+ \frac{n-2}{2} h_gu= cu^{\frac{n}{n-2}} \quad\text{on }\partial M, \tag{1} \] where \(\mathring M=M\setminus\partial M\) denotes the interior of \(M\), \(R_g\) is the scalar curvature, \(h_g\) is the mean curvature, \(\nu\) is the outer normal with respect to \(g\), \(c\) is a constant whose sign is uniquely determined by the conformal structure of \(M\), and \((M,g)\) is \(n\)-dimensional compact smooth Riemannian manifold with boundary. The authors present some existence and compactness results concerning (1). To this end they use blow-up analysis techniques, the positive mass theorem and Leray-Schauder degree.
