The equation considered in this paper arises as a continuum limit of onedimensional Ising spin systems with Glauber dynamics and Kac potentials. The authors restrict the equation to the space \(P_{2\tau}\), \(\tau>1\). This leads naturally to the consideration of a \(C^1\) flow, \(T(t)\), in \(L^2(S^1)\), \(S^1\) being the onedimensional unit sphere, where the existence of a global maximal invariant compact attractor \(A\) for the flow \(T(t)\) contained in the ball of radius \(\sqrt{2\tau}\) is proved. The existence of unstable nontrivial periodic equilibria is also proved. The authors also implement a numerical scheme for solving the equation for \(2\tau\)-periodic solutions. The numerical simulations point out the existence and instability of stationary solutions proved in the paper.
